"8(d) The teacher varies his/her role in the instructional process (e.g., instructor, facilitator, coach, audience) in relation to the content and purposes of instruction and the needs of learners."
In order to show how I have used a variety of instructional methods when teaching, I have provided a math lesson plan where students learned how to divide. In this lesson, I explained the concept f division to students, allowed students to show me what they knew about division by selecting students to complete division problems on the whiteboard, and facilitated group work in which students explored the concept of division through working with manipulatives. This wide range of teaching methods allowed students to explore division through a variety of perspectives. Kinesthetic learners were able to touch the manipulatives, while visual learners could see the problems written on the whiteboard, as well count the amount of manipulatives. Students also had the opportunity to learn when I discussed division. Because of this, the diverse needs of each learner in the classroom were met, as each student had the opportunity to learn about division in a way that best suited their style of learning.
